Healthcare Assistant 1:1
A Health Care Assistant is required to support the nursing team with their duties to enable students with complex disabilities to engage with their normal day to day activities. This includes carrying out clinical interventions, recognising when a student becomes unwell and reporting to the registered nurses. Training in all the relevant medical skills and procedures will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain a step into nursing!
Part Time - 35 hours per week (8.45am - 4.15pm) - Term Time Only - Ongoing to support a student
£14,415 gross p.a. for 39 weeks (plus 5 weeks holiday pay) £9.36 per hour plus generous local government pension, national retailer discounts, well-being sessions and free on-site parking
There will also be an element of social care whereby you will be responsible for working alongside students in their bungalows and supporting the students in all aspects of daily living, including personal care.
Experience of complex physical and medical needs is desirable along with a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools/Residential Childcare, alternatively support will be given to achieve this.
